Today I will be featuring the Prima Marketing Rasp Tool. I have always loved to distress on my layouts - so when I received this FANTASTIC Prima Marketing Rasp Tool from The Hens' Den store I was thrilled!! This tool contains metal brushes,  paper edge scraper and two files.

First up on the Rasp Tool - the metal brushes. I like to use these to distress the edges of my photos. I like the look of a border around the photo without having to add cardstock to the back of the photo. I use a photo cloth to minimize my fingerprints and I have a self-healing mat that I only use for distressing.

Here is the edge of the photo before it is distressed.

Next up, the paper edge scraper - this is seriously my most used technique ever.

and a little bit of distress ink on it.

Finally, the file can be used on the edge of a table
using a self-healing mat as shown here.

mSB Card

Still making my way through my February birthday list of who I need to make cards for - two down and three to go! :)

Here is my latest one (for my dad :) ) He loves to cook so I thought the knife & fork Canvas Corp paper  would be the perfect touch!  (the other two papers are by Canvas Corp too!)  Lovin' the black & kraft with a pop of green!

Chic Sketches at The Hens Den!

I loved Lori's sketch as soon as I saw it!!  Since I still had all of my Hens Den MME All is Bright product on my desk - I whipped up a layout using Lori's sketch as inspiration!  The great thing about sketches is that they provide a basic foundation to get you started but you can manipulate them any way to fit your needs!

mSB - Christmas Thank You Card

Now that Christmas is over, the rush to get thank you cards out in a timely fashion is on!  As with a lot of things, if I don't do it "right now" it will take forever to do!

Here is a little twist on using holiday stamps for a quick thank you card - use the holiday themed stamps on your thank you card!  Quick, easy & festive!

This card features two mSB stamp sets - O Christmas Tree and Itty Bittys.

mSB Let it Snow card

It's hard to believe the holidays are upon us and here in Colorado we are enjoying warm fall temps!!  I will hold tight and wait for the chilly winter temperatures and hope that we have a white Christmas! :)

I was thrilled to get the myStamp Box LET IT SNOW stamp set - swoon!!  I love snowflakes!!  This stamp set was super fun to use with clear embossing powder to make the snowflakes shine!

mSB Thanks a Latte card

myStamp Box's ENJOY YOUR LATTE stamp set is one of my favorite stamp sets and it makes me want a yummy cup of coffee!  

Below I created a card using this stamp set and some goodies from Canvas Corp - burlap mini circles, Black & Kraft Gourmet Sampler paper (cut the tags out) and a card.  The burlap mini circle was just screaming to be stamped with the myStamp Box coffee stain stamp! :)
