Memory Nest Sketch - Make it Monday No. 43

Today I am sharing a layout I created using The Memory Nest's Make it Monday No. 43 Sketch.  Lately I am a sketch scrapping' fool and I am loving it! My layouts are coming together easily and I am shopping my stash - that is the important part … using up product!

During the Month of August I scraped a lot for Scrapbook Challenges Sizzlin' Summer Sketches and I had hope to complete all of them but I ended up missing three  … still pretty proud of all of the layouts I created!  During that time I learned about some things I wasn't liking about my new scrap set up so I spent some time working on that this weekend, hopefully I made some improvements.  

Here is The Memory Nest's Make it Monday No. 43 Sketch:

And here is my layout, I had printed these photos for another sketch back in February and then the flood happened and these photos were packed, so glad they fit with this sketch!

When we were at Warner Brothers Studios last October we sat at the Harry Potter sorting hat, both Rick and Seth received Gryffindor and I received Slytherin … this was so funny to us since they tease me that I am mean and evil and even the hat knew! :)

ETA: eeekk when I was filing this layout away I realized that it was Warner Brothers Studio, not Universal Studios like I originally had so my layout has been edited from Universal Studios - Hollywood, CA to Warner Brothers Studio - Burbank, CA even though it may not reflect that here! :)

TGIF! Whew made it through the first week of high school for my son!  I can't believe he is already in high school but I am thankful that him and his pals are a couple of goofballs and aren't too cool to humor me! :)

I am back with another Scrapbook Challenges Sizzlin Summer ’15 Sketch - this time it's #7!  I said I was attempting to do all of the sketches this month and I am still on track!

I just love my layout!  It's so bright and fun and the photos are adorable!! My son took our pup for a walk and they stopped at the park and the crazy pup went down the slide! :)

I am back with Sketch #2 for Scrapbook Challenges Sizzlin' Summer!  I am loving these sketches and it feels so good to be creating again!

Here is my layout ... yes IN-N-OUT Burger! My journaling says when we were in CA for Seth's baseball tournament, the boys ONLY wanted to eat at  IN-N-OUT Burger so I think we ate there every.single.day. of our trip!

Time to start sizzlin' with Scrapbook Challenges!

Time for the 4th annual Sizzlin Summer of Sketches at Scrapbook Challenges!

For those that are new to SBC’s Sizzlin’ Summer (or SS for short) it works like this…

Each Monday in August we post our regular sketch. Then from Tuesday – Friday we post a bonus sketch plus some extra inspiration from the Sketch Crew. So that means during the month of August we will be bringing you TWENTY sketches in total 

Just a quick note before we begin….In addition to our regular sketches, any layout you complete with a Sizzlin' Summer sketch can also be linked up for an entry into our monthly prize drawing!

Here is the first sketch to kick it off:

Such a fun sketch but I tend to stress out about circle shaped photos LOL!  So here is mine with a little bit of a twist - love how it turned out & gosh look at that baby face of my boy who is (as I write this) attending his on-site registration for his Freshman year of high school!  Eeek!

I am personally challenging myself to work with all of the sizzlin' sketches this month - how amazing would that be for me to complete 20 layouts!  Come join the fun!

Don't you love it when a layout just comes together easy and  you love the end result?! I love how this layout of my son's 13th birthday morning turned out, it was so easy with such a great sketch!  And all of the papers were in my scrap pile!

Here is my layout of the pups, Otto & Bentley - they are like a couple of toddlers, they both always want the same toy no matter how many other toys there are or even if there is another identical toy ... at least they are learning to be patient and share. :)
