I just love my layout!  It's so bright and fun and the photos are adorable!! My son took our pup for a walk and they stopped at the park and the crazy pup went down the slide! :)

Scrapbook Challenges Sizzlin Summer ’15 Sketch 02

I am back with Sketch #2 for Scrapbook Challenges Sizzlin' Summer!  I am loving these sketches and it feels so good to be creating again!

Here is my layout ... yes IN-N-OUT Burger! My journaling says when we were in CA for Seth's baseball tournament, the boys ONLY wanted to eat at  IN-N-OUT Burger so I think we ate there every.single.day. of our trip!

Time to start sizzlin' with Scrapbook Challenges!

Time for the 4th annual Sizzlin Summer of Sketches at Scrapbook Challenges!

For those that are new to SBC’s Sizzlin’ Summer (or SS for short) it works like this…

Each Monday in August we post our regular sketch. Then from Tuesday – Friday we post a bonus sketch plus some extra inspiration from the Sketch Crew. So that means during the month of August we will be bringing you TWENTY sketches in total 

Just a quick note before we begin….In addition to our regular sketches, any layout you complete with a Sizzlin' Summer sketch can also be linked up for an entry into our monthly prize drawing!

Here is the first sketch to kick it off:

Such a fun sketch but I tend to stress out about circle shaped photos LOL!  So here is mine with a little bit of a twist - love how it turned out & gosh look at that baby face of my boy who is (as I write this) attending his on-site registration for his Freshman year of high school!  Eeek!

I am personally challenging myself to work with all of the sizzlin' sketches this month - how amazing would that be for me to complete 20 layouts!  Come join the fun!

Don't you love it when a layout just comes together easy and  you love the end result?! I love how this layout of my son's 13th birthday morning turned out, it was so easy with such a great sketch!  And all of the papers were in my scrap pile!

I had a lot of fun with my layout using bright colors since my son was wearing pink. :)  After our house had water damaged we toured some local model homes to get some decorating ideas and we came upon a "Seth" model - how fun!

Hi everyone!  I am back after a bit of a mishap at the house with some flooding issues - the good news is that we are almost back to normal with a completely updated house :)  

I recently realized that I did not post my layout for Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #432  this is one of the few layouts I did while our house was in disarray, I am very happy with it and glad I was finally able to scrap these photos!

Memory Nest Make It Monday #33

I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying getting back into scrapping regularly - I know I keep mentioning it but it was about a 2 year dry spell where I struggled with layouts, now they come easily and I am enjoying it!!

Scrapbook Challenges SAY WHAT?? Journaling Challenge

On the Scrapbook Challenges blog today is a journaling challenge … I will admit not my strong suit since I am usually content with minimal details, but I am glad I scrapped this since I still laugh about it! :)

Journaling: During a game this season a teammate hit a kid while pitching; to help him clear his head you went to the mound and said "when you focus on the (catcher's) glove you hit the glove, when you focus on the batter's butt you hit his butt." Love that you can think on your feet and help your teammates relax! Photo May 4, 2014
