Today is the first day of Seth's spring break - although it feels like winter has returned to Colorado! Yup, I will complain that it's going to be 30's snowy this week after our near 80's temps last week! ;)

Last night Seth & I went to Target - he found these two pairs of socks in the Target $1 spot & I couldn't resist! He has always loved goofy socks!

Rick & Seth were playing catch in the front yard, I decided to sit on the front porch with Ninja - really just hoping she would lay on the front porch ... well since the back of my Yukon was open she thought she was going for a ride ... she stayed in there like this for about an hour ... she was really disappointed when we went back in the house at dark & she never got to go for a ride! LOL!!

Since Seth's baseball team is assigned to Seth's school for their Tuesday / Thursday practices we decided we would ride our bikes to & from practice! Great ride! :)

Two photos today!
First one is Seth eating his favorite meal - pasta with meat, sauce & cheese - and of course fresh bread! I don't mix the meat into the sauce 'cause re-heated pasta makes a great lunch for me but I am not a fan of re-heated meats! ;)


Second one is of my mug of tea with milk & honey to help my sore throat ... I thought I was getting sick but Rick thinks it is allergies from all of the wind, dust & blooming trees as I spend about 9 hrs a week at the baseball fields. ( I think he is right, but at this every other day practice I am not going to get over it! lol)

Spring is here! Last night when we were out to dinner we noticed some trees blooming - I didn't have my camera, but I had it today at the library!

Project 365 March 8th - March 14th

Another week in photos for my Project 356!

March 8 - Sunday comics! It's awesome that Seth loves to read the Sunday comics, I remember reading them as a kid, too!


March 9 - Just because cupcakes!  Yep, Seth & I made cupcakes just to make cupcakes! :)  I am sure no one is surprised at my sport theme cupcake cups.


March 10th - Seth at Sport Stacking.  This is his third year doing it, they do it about one week a month for about four months out of the school year.  You can read more about it here.


March 11th -  Seth & I went to SuperTarget and Joann's ... as we were sitting at the stoplight the bright lights from the setting sun were bringing out all of the colors in Seth's eyes!  Of course the photo doesn't do the colors justice, but it's still a good photo.


March 12th - I absolutely despise stopping to put gas in my Yukon.  I am sure I hated it even more when it was near $4 per gallon last year ... but ... I still just think it's a huge inconvenience. lol!


March 13th - Seth with our neighbor, Charlie. They are good pals & have a lot of fun playing together.


March 14th - Baseball practice!! It's that time already! We started practicing about 2 weeks ago, making today our 5th practice. I love this field because it's only about a 2 minute drive for us! The boys are looking GREAT! It's going to be another fun season!

Project 365 March 1st - March 7th

Another week in photos! I think I say this every week, but I am really loving this project & cannot wait til the end of the year to see it all together!! Very cool!!

March 1st
This wasn't my intended photo of the day but since Seth had a pal over, we treated them to McDonald's - and since I think this may be the second time we had fast food this year (me & Seth mainly as Rick eats out for lunch more often) I thought I'd document it! 


March 2nd

My magazine subscriptions finally started arriving!  I got some great deals back in January & thought they would never arrive!

WestRidge Rec Center - Since the first week in January,  we have spent every Thursday evening here for Seth's basketball practice.  Tonight was his last practice for this season.

This is Spidey - he came in the Happy Meals last Sunday.  This Spidey hangs on the mirror in our powder room. lol!


March 7th

Today has two photos :)  Seth loves gum - he will go thru a pack of gum in the blink of an eye (I actually have to hide gum so I can have some when I want a piece!)

Tonight I was cutting up potatoes and carrots to put with a roast in the crock pot tomorrow.  Seth wanted to help with the peeling & cutting of the carrots - talk about a panicked mom!  Then in the end (as he normally does when he helps in the kitchen) he needed to sample the food!

For his birthday Seth rec'd a pair of Grave Digger Monster Truck swim trunks - guess what he wore to school today as shorts - yup, the Grave Digger Monster Truck swim trunks!

I keep talking about our mild winter - here is some proof - all the way home my car temp read 71 degrees ... but when I got home & took the pic it was reading 68 - still C R A Z Y for February!!

Coyote Creek Elementary School - Seth's school.  Today I was there for Seth's parent teacher conference.  I am usually there every other Thursday helping out in Seth's classroom - which I LOVE doing!

Signs of Spring!  What??  Here is more proof of our mild winter - my lilies think it's time to start sprouting!!  I usually cannot find anything sprouting until April!! Oh & while I was waiting for my pics to upload to blogger, I read that this was the least snowiest February on record for us with less than 0.01 of an inch during the month of February. February which is generally the driest month of the year for Denver and March is usually the snowiest month in Denver with close to a foot of snow on average ... I think we are going to need that foot of snow this month - though we are looking at more record temps in the 70's this week!!

Wow - good-bye February!!  Tonight Seth's best pal, Michael, spent the night & they made their own Monster Jam courses - they planned, plotted & played with this all night!!
